• Practical Integrity like being a Christian or a Muslin is not an attitude that we demonstrate on special occasions: rather, integrity ought to be a way of life that consistently reflects our commitment to its beliefs and values.

• The Moral Courage, the will and the willingness to do what one knows one ought to do, and to stand openly against what one believes to be wrong.

BEING EFFECTIVE

• It is trying to find better ways to doing the right thing(s) better while getting a better result.
• There is a space between stimulus and response, and how we effectively utilize that space holds the key to both our growth and happiness
• The most important ingredient we put into any relationship is not what we say or what we do, but who we are.
• The only thing in the world you can change is yourself, and that makes all the difference in the world. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing the only thing they can change: themselves.
• The person who is truly effective has the humility and reverence to recognize his own perceptual limitations and to appreciate the rich resources available through interaction with the hearts and minds of other human beings. That person values the differences because those differences add to his knowledge, to his understanding of reality. • It is the art of accomplishing more than the science of management says is possible.

• A leader keep looking beneath surface appearances. He does not shrink from doing this, because if he does not, he won't like what he will see at the end.

• In the leadership journey, you can't be an expert in all things, so don't be buffaloed by experts and elites. They may possess more data, but not judgment.

• The people will respect a leader who holds them to a high standard and pushes them to the limit, as long as they see a worthwhile objective.

• The basic task of leadership is to increase the standard of living and the quality of life for all stakeholders.

• The basic of task of a leader to his people is to 'pick 'em up, dust 'em off, pat 'em on the back, and move 'em on.'

Legacy . . .

We all have a Responsibility to add real value to this world as a direct consequence of our having passed through it.

We are inheritors of the results of the efforts of our predecessors, and some of us can still remember the excellent values on which we were nurtured as we grew up.

Similarly, we are the predecessors of some emerging inheritors. Certainly, we ought to be striving, in our interest, to leave our communities, nations and the world a better place than we found it. . .
